Thanks to one of On Point’s members for the build design!
The build plans for this Faraday Cage are thumbnailed below. The metal interior of the cage consists of six pieces of sheet metal. Pages 3 and 4 shows two pieces of 10′ by 4′ sheet metal. The top, bottom and four sides are cut from these two pieces of sheet metal. Once the four side pieces are cut out, then they must be folded as shown on pages 3 and 4.
Page 1 shows the sheet metal cuts and folds for the top and bottom sections of the cage. Once these cuts and folds are made then they must be attached to a two by four frame work as shown on page 2.
To create the frame work, two 1/2″ pieces of plywood 39″ by 32″ are required. Attach the top and bottom pieces of plywood to the two by fours as shown in the Page 2 plans. Both the top and bottom plywood pieces will be 2″ larger than the plan shows. Allow this 2″ to extend beyond the metal and two by four frame work where the door will be located. This 2″ will be used to hold the top and bottom of the door closed tightly. Page 5 shows a third piece of sheet metal from which the door is cut. Attach the door to a 5/8″ piece of plywood and hinge it to the cage.
